Getting the size right for site power

Undersize a generator and your tools stall the moment two run together. Oversize a diesel unit and leave it idling under light load too long, and it can foul the engine, a problem tradies call wet stacking. The right size depends on what's actually drawing power on site, including how many tools, what starts together, and whether the job needs single-phase or three-phase. Every in-store generator is tested before it leaves us

Every generator purchased in-store goes through a pre-delivery inspection and test before it leaves our warehouse, so it arrives on site already set up and ready to start. Buying online, you can add Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) for $150 to get the same inspection and test before your unit ships — worth it if day one on site is when you find out whether it works.

Buy a worksite generator or hire it

A short job usually makes more sense as generator hire. An ongoing site fleet is often better bought outright. As a rough guide, jobs under a few weeks tend to work out cheaper to hire, while multi-year projects often pay off buying outright over time. Hire units can be delivered anywhere in Australia, and our four branches in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth mean local support wherever your site is.
